Senior E-commerce Engineer — React/Next.js & Headless Shopify

Our flagship brand is HLTH, a longevity smart band with a companion app, sold in the UK and scaling fast. We move fast, build lean, and use AI tooling across the entire business to punch above our weight. The Role You’ll own the HLTH storefront and the engineering around it: a headless Shopify build running on Next.js and Vercel, using the Shopify Storefront and Admin APIs. You’ll own the storefront’s engineering standards — code quality, performance, deploy process — and participate in code review. No people management; you own the codebase, not the people. This is a JavaScript/TypeScript commerce role. If your background is primarily .NET, Java/Spring, or enterprise platforms, this won’t be a fit. To be direct about how we work: we don’t have product managers or QA. You’ll scope your own work, write your own tests, and talk directly to the founders. Marketing drives the roadmap — landing pages, conversion, and site performance are revenue levers here, not side projects. If you need a structured corporate roadmap, you’ll hate it. If you want to see your work show up in revenue numbers the same week, you’ll love it. What You’ll Own First 30 days: Take ownership of the live storefront (Next.js + Vercel + Shopify) — codebase, deploys, performance. Ship fixes from our existing PDP audit (conversion-critical issues, already prioritized) Establish the storefront’s code review and deploy standards By day 60: Ship our landing-page-per-creative system so marketing can launch LP variations without engineering in the loop Own the Shopify Admin API integrations and webhooks that power the storefront Set engineering standards that survive without you in the room
